The Antarctic while designed for specific needs and to reduce stress, can also have its frame personalised according to the user’s own ideas and preferences. The Antarctic has a wide range of vibrant and exciting colours and possible themes to choose from, helping the client make the bed appear attractive and to fit well with the aesthetics of their bedroom.
The Antarctic is elegantly designed with enclosed motors and a wooden head and foot board that ensure the user comfort and security along with side rails keeping the person firm in place and minimizing the chance they could slide out of position.
Nurses or carers often put their own bodies at risk of injury when attending to someone, having to awkwardly position or adjust their body to properly care for the person in bed. This is not a problem when using the Antarctic however, which is adjustable in heights, starting from 41cm and going up to 198cm giving carers/nurses easier access to their patients in the bed without having to put their bodies through any discomfort. The Antarctic’s maximum weight limit is 25 stone (158 kg). The Antarctic’s movement options are 4 section profiling, head up and knee break. These movement options can help with a reduction to any swelling present in the client and alleviate client stress. The Antarctic is essential when it comes to reducing the cost for carers and maintaining a user’s own dignity and independence in bed.
